Beauly, Nairn, Forres, Elgin and, of course, Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands and actually a city:
Our Highland towns and villages are full of character(s) and hidden gems that are often being overlooked, even by the locals.

Culloden Battlefield near Inverness is the site of the last pitched battle fought on British soil. The battle lasted only an hour, but changed life in the Highlands forever.

Our Promise

As part of our professional STGA training, we are experts in effective and sensitive group management techniques, on walking tours, in visitor attractions, visitor sites and museums. In addition, the Scottish Tourist Guides Association has created safety guidance for tourist guiding:
-
We will practise Social Distancing at any time and will follow the latest government guidance to keep you and your loved ones safe.
-
We will give you advanced notice before the tour begins of how to be safe on the tour, enjoy the tour, and have fun while maintaining Social Distancing and Scottish Government public health advice.
-
We will apply rigorous hygiene practices, including thoroughly cleaning and waiting for hands to dry before guiding, and use a personal hand sanitiser when this is not possible.
-
We will be wearing a mask or visor according to Scottish Government recommendations.
-
We will be familiar with more crowded areas and will make best efforts to negotiate them, or if appropriate, avoid them.
-
We will carry disinfecting wipes, hand sanitisers, and paper towels.

Town & Battlefield Walks and Countryside Rambles
Our famous Scottish weather has its reputation for a reason. Therefore, it is always good practise to pack an extra layer and a waterproof jacket or coat on top of your sunscreen and your sunglasses. You may need them all.

Our Town & Battlefield Walks are at a leisurely pace and are suitable for all age groups. The tour will keep you on your feet for at least an hour and we highly recommend that you wear appropriate footwear and clothing as outlined above.

Our Countryside Rambles are at a leisurely pace too, but some of them will be more strenuous and require appropriate footwear such as walking boots with ankle support. Pack for all sorts of weather, especially the wet and windy type, as outlined above, and take your walking poles along if you have some. Since some of our rambles will take us to some rather remote places, please also take enough bottled water and a packed lunch and snacks along to keep you going.
Please refer to the tour description to decide whether a particular tour is suitable for you and your group before you make your booking. Please also note that we may not be able to take you on tour if your footwear is not suitable. In such an event, a (partial) refund is entirely at our discretion.
For all our walks and rambles, we have limited the size of your group to a maximum of 6 guests. This is to maintain safety and excellent tour quality standards.

Chase Me Tours

You are required to bring your own, fully fueled vehicle that you are allowed to drive (valid driver's license) and have appropriately insured.
Our recommendations for footwear and clothing also apply to our Chase Me Tours.
Pack enough bottled water and snacks or even a packed lunch too.

Most of our tours feature a culinary stopover to let you experience the Highland larder. Due to current restrictions, this may be limited to a takeaway service.

The Small Print

Tours are guided by professional and fully insured members of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association.

We strongly recommend that guests arrange suitable travel, medical, and cancellation insurance prior to their journey.
