Inverness, the administrative and cultural capital of the Highlands, became Scotland's fifth city as part of the millennium celebrations. Affectionately called "Inversneckie" by the locals, the city lies at the north end of the Great Glen, where the River Ness flows into the Moray Firth.
The city has a number of historic buildings, prominent landmarks and wonderful sights and has been a natural focus for lines of communication to and through the Highlands for the last two thousand years.
Choose from two different walking tours in English or sign up for our German tour. While all our tours are bit different, they have one thing in common: You will get a warm welcome from an enthusiastic guide, who will turn your walking tour into something truly special.
We, Dan and Elle, are looking forward to showing you around our city. We are professional tourist guides and fully insured members of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, the only professional membership body for fully trained and accredited guides in Scotland.

Pre-book to avoid disappointment!
No booking required, unless you would like to extend your evening tour with a whisky tasting. Otherwise, just turn up 10 minutes before the tour starts.
However, Inverness can be a very busy place, especially during the summer months.
To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking your walking tour in advance.
Groups (8+), Language Tours & Private Tours
Currently, we are offering tours in English and German. Tours in French and Italian are available, but need to be booked in advance. If you prefer to have an exclusive tour for your group or would like a private, tailor-made tour, just drop us a line.

Our walking tours are at a leisurely pace and are suitable for all age groups.
Group size is limited to a maximum of 16 guests. This is to maintain safety and excellent tour quality standards for guests on our tours.
If taking part in the Whisky Tasting, visitors need to be of legal drinking age (18+) and may be asked for an ID.
