We take you round the city and tell you about its famous and lesser known landmarks, sons and daughters and the life in Inverness then and now.

Scotland’s places have many stories to tell. Not all of them are obvious at first sight. Once you start looking closer, you can explore a whole new world.

The town of Elgin with its ruined cathedral, once known as 'The Lantern of the North' and the flourishing textile industry is definitely worth a visit. And so is the Moray Coast, one of Scotland’s most spectacular jewels, with its picturesque fishing villages.

Surprisingly, this lovely area is often overlooked by visitors. We are on a mission to change that.

The last true wild lands in Britain, a varied landscape of rugged mountains, quiet moors and nature reserves like Loch Fleet - a great place for spotting wildlife, just like the Falls of Shin, where salmon are leaping upstream in the summer months.

Dunrobin Castle & Gardens have daily falconry displays and the picturesque villages of Dornoch and Tain are always worth a browse. Whisky? There are a few distilleries here, with Balblair being one of our favourites, not just due to its location…
