Whisky - Uisge Beatha | The Water of Life
Whisky is Scotland's Gift to the world and we have a lot to give!
More than half of our 125+ distilleries have their home in Speyside and in the Highlands.
We are both very keen on the subject and just love opening up this fantastic world of flavours and scents to you.
We visit distilleries, grab a nice bite in a local pub and continue our whisky tour with a visit to the cooperage, a gentle stroll or a few more drams.

HIDDEN
STORIES & GEMS
If Trees and Rocks Could Talk
Scotland’s places have many stories to tell. Not all of them are obvious at first sight. Once you start looking closer, you can explore a whole new world.
Small watchtowers, ruined crofts and unexpected changes of scenery: Going off the beaten track and getting under the skin of things is something we really enjoy.
Many of the less obvious places are a bit harder to get to and the journey to them often involves a gentle walk in the great Scottish Outdoors and complimentary forest bathing.

OUTLANDER
TOURS
Scotland: The Land That Inspired Outlander
Diana Gabaldon’s novels have been inspired by the Jacobite risings and the rich folklore of the Highlands – and so are we.
With places like Culloden Battlefield, the Clava Cairns, Beauly, the stronghold of the Frasers of Lovat, just a stone-throw away, we bring the story of Claire & Jamie to life. What is a ‘Clootie Well’? Where is the ‘Old Fox’ buried?
Grab a gemstone and join us on this outlandish journey back in time.

FAMOUS PEOPLE
HISTORICAL FIGURES
Kings, Clairvoyants and the Common People
King Macbeth, Mary Queen of Scots, Bonnie Prince Charlie, and Flora Macdonald are some of the most famous people in Scottish History.
Have you ever heard of the Wolf of Badenoch, the Brahan Seer, or the enigmatic Picts, who used to live in these lands too? What did the everyday life of a fishwife or a timmer floater look like?
Hear about their fascinating, often turbulent but romantic lives on our tour.

INVERNESS &
LOCH NESS
Great Scenery, Iconic Castles and a Monster
Loch Ness is the largest body of freshwater in Britain and home to a certain mystic beast. Nessie is a bit shy though. Only a few get to see her. Luckily, there is so much more to discover in the Inverness area:
Wonderful castles, ancient places and the fertile Black Isle, where you get to see “Pictish beasts”, more commonly known as dolphins - and these lovely creatures are not shy at all!

MORAY
SPEYSIDE
Whisky and much more
Moray is the home of Speyside and has a long and proud history of making whisky legally, and an even longer one of illicit distilling…
The town of Elgin with its ruined cathedral, once known as 'The Lantern of the North' and the flourishing textile industry is definitely worth a visit. And so is the Moray Coast, one of Scotland’s most spectacular jewels, with its picturesque fishing villages.
Surprisingly, this lovely area is often overlooked by visitors. We are on a mission to change that.

EASTER ROSS &
SUTHERLAND
Simply Stunning
The last true wild lands in Britain, a varied landscape of rugged mountains, quiet moors and nature reserves like Loch Fleet - a great place for spotting wildlife, just like the Falls of Shin, where salmon are leaping upstream in the summer months.
Dunrobin Castle & Gardens have daily falconry displays and the picturesque villages of Dornoch and Tain are always worth a browse. Whisky? There are a few distilleries here, with Balblair being one of our favourites, not just due to its location…
